Button manufacturing produces scrap material that cannot be re-used in the process. At IRIS we consider this a valuable resource. Ever since 1989, we have been manufacturing and selling abrasive materials produced from button scraps ground into small pieces as a means of achieving a greater level of circularity. These abrasives are ideal for stripping paint from an aircraft and for removing burrs in the semiconductor manufacturing process.
